This is a 30-year plan signed by the three heads of state from various African countries to implement these measures. Various areas of Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Zambia will be beaconed off to establish this transfrontier conservation area (TFCA).

This newly appointed area is a stunning achievement, with objectives ranging from ecosystem restoration to heritage conservation. Filipe Nyusi, the President of Mozambique, states:

“This TFCA builds on the Community Based Natural Resource policies of all three countries. The SADC member states are committed to sustainable development and the TFCA programme is a tool to align cross-border land use and sustainable development programmes.”
