Algeria Campsite in the Cederberg to close temporarily for maintenance

Posted on 6 October 2021 By David Henning

Cape Nature has taken the executive decision to close the Algeria campsite in the Cederberg from 18 October 2021 until 31 March 2022.

The Rondegat River flows through the campsite at Algeria in the Cederberg Wilderness Area

The current, low water bridge will be undergoing necessary infrastructure improvements.  This bridge is the only point of entry into the campsite and the campsite is being closed with health and safety in mind.

Fortunately, Cape Nature is taking the opportunity to do some major repair work and renovations on all bathrooms in the campsite.

Visitors returning to the campsite next year can look forward to a newly renovated and improved campsite when they set up camp from April 2022.
