The airline is confident that it will be able to enter South Africa’s airspace soon.

‘Flights to South Africa are scheduled to resume at the start of October. You’ll be able to view these flights on our main website too,’ British Airways said on Twitter.

‘However the details haven’t been finalised, so we’d recommend checking for any updates at gov.uk/foreign-travel or from the South African embassy,’ the airline added.

British Airways resumes schedule flights to South Africa. The airline is operating 7 flights per week to and from Johannesburg, as well as 7 flights per week to and from Cape Town, commence from 1 Oct,’ a tour operator Tweeted.

This might cause concern for some, as the UK is currently experiencing a surge in COVID-19 infection rates and has re-instated strict lockdown in certain areas.
