Airlink will be bringing back their seasonal ‘bush & beach’ flights, linking SA’s Mbombela (formerly known as Nelspruit) to Vilanculos in Mozambique
From 01 July 2024 through to 05 January 2025, Airlink have announced they will run their peak season ‘bush & beach’ service linking Mbombela (formerly Nelspruit) – known as the ‘gateway’ to the bush – with the coastal town of Vilanculos in Mozambique, and Johannesburg.
The peak season service, which will allow tourists the opportunity to’ kick back’ in both the beach and the bush on holiday, will run across four days a week, on Sundays, Mondays. Wednesdays and Fridays.
The seasonal route will augment Airlink’s daily direct Johannesburg-Vilanculos service.
Rodger Foster, Airlink CEO and Managing Director, says:
“In reprising this routing option for the coming season, Airlink is responding to broad popular demand from tourists and calls from the travel industry for a convenient schedule that lets visitors make the most of their vacation time and enjoy both uniquely Southern African experiences.”
Mbombela is the traveller’s ‘golden ticket’ to SA’s Kruger National Park, which is home to breathtaking attractions including God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck, the Three Rondavels and several waterfalls. Vilanculos is the gateway to the Bazaruto Archipelago, and is a popular beach break destination.
As per Travel Daily News, Airlink’s fares include a 20kg free economy class checked-in luggage allowance plus a 15kg sporting equipment allowance. Onboard, customers are treated to a complimentary snack and refreshments. Comfortable cabins provide travellers with generous leg room and a choice of aisle or window seat – Airlink aircraft do not have middle seats.
