Cape Town Grand Prix South Africa (CTGPSA) is adamant to bring the Formula 1 race back to the country after a three-decade absence.
An official bid will be submitted by CTGPSA to the Bid Steering Committee as set up by Sports Minister Gayton McKenzie.

As reported by BusinessTech, Cape Town has emerged as a contender to host the Formula 1 Grand Prix, with CTGPSA proposing a 5,7km street circuit around the Green Point Sport Tourism Precinct near the DHL Stadium in Green Point.
According to the Igshaan Amlay, CEO of CTGPSA, the organisation’s presentation will take place after January.
Amlay further added that hosting the Formula 1 would have a positive impact, not only on the economy, but the city as a whole.
The presentation process is expected to take place in the month of February or shortly thereafter.
