Recently Cape Town made it on Time Out’s list of the 48 best cities in the world. The list, based on surveys that quizzed residents in each city, placed the Mother City at number 12. While Cape Town is a city of paradoxes, with crime being a real concern, there is also lots to celebrate.
A new list of The friendliest cities in the world 2019 has been published by Big 7 Travel after it polled its social audience of 1.5 million people on ‘where you would find the friendliest city in the world?’ and according to the international voters, Cape Town is the 14th friendliest city of the 50 listed.
The city at the tip of Africa is, according to this poll, friendlier than Sydney, Athens, Copenhagen and Rome (which came in last place).
According to Big 7 Travel, ‘Cape Town’s locals are full of life and warmth and instantly welcome visitors to the city.’
