The overpopulation of wildlife is also causing an overgrazing problem, leaving residents wondering what should be done about the situation. As culling, a selective process to reduce wildlife, is prohibited in this protected area, what is to be done?

While many believe that animals should merely be released into the nearby Kruger, this is a risky solution due to the high risk of contracting illnesses, such as TB and foot and mouth disease.
