Parts of the Western Cape were transformed into a winter wonderland, as a cold front left a blanket of snow in high-lying parts of the Cape.
The South African Weather Services and National Sea Rescue Institute warned the public to practice caution if partaking in outdoor activities. However, some people found the chance to hike to the snowy mountains too good to pass up.
Said Chhaibi was one such hiker who visited the Matroosberg on Saturday and shared his weekend experience on social media.
