A Yellow Level 2 weather warning has been issued for parts of Mpumalanga, Limpopo and KwaZulu-Natal.
Disruptive rainfall leading to possible localised flooding of formal and informal settlements and infrastructural damage, as well as disruptions to main roads, is expected for several parts of the country in the following days.
Residents in the Lowveld of both Mpumalanga and Limpopo, as well as over the north-eastern parts of Kwa-Zulu Natal, spreading towards the south coast, are warned to be extra cautious on the roads and avoid driving if possible.
An Orange Level 5 warning has also been issued for the extreme north-eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal. Disruptive rainfall leading to possible flooding of roads and formal and informal settlements, danger to life, damage to property and infrastructure loss of livelihood and livestock, major disruption of traffic flow due to major roads been flooded, mudslides and rock-falls is expected.

In Mpumalanga, the R541 Road between Manzana (formerly Badplaas) and Machadodorp has been completely closed as a result of extensive damages caused by the ongoing rains.
Motorists travelling between the two places are advised to use the R36 Road which goes via Carolina.
