The popular rail pass connecting most major European cities, Eurail, will for the first time in its 61-year existence include all three Baltic countries by adding Latvia and Estonia. Now, tourists will also have access to these destinations when purchasing the Global Pass.

To celebrate these additions Eurail Pass holders can enjoy up to 50% discount on ferry prices from Riga to Stockholm and Germany, or from Tallinn to Stockholm and Helsinki, according to Lonely Planet.

The Eurail Pass serves as a convenient way for travellers to get around, as it enables you to hop on or off of any participating train operators in Europe. The Eurail Global Pass is only available for non-Europeans visitors. European citizens must purchase the Interrail Pass instead.

Latvia and Estonia have rich histories and the newer industrial architecture fuses with old-town medieval charm and beautiful forests to offer a unique experience.
