Several crocodiles have washed away after torrential rainfall in KwaZulu-Natal, which caused localised flooding in many parts of the province.
Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife warned of 12 crocodiles that washed away from the Crocodile Creek Farm between Tongaat and Ballito on 13 April. The latest update from Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife reported that seven of the crocodiles have been recaptured, but the search is still on for the remaining five.
An Ezemvelo spokesperson said they suspect that ‘they might have moved towards the Tongaat River which is less than a kilometre from the farm’.
The video below appears to be one of the crocodiles at the Tongaat River mouth.
