FlySafair intends on adding 10 new routes to its list of destinations, expanding its range across sub-Saharan Africa to fill the gap left in the market by Comair.

The airline plans to fly to major cities like Nairobi, Lusaka, and Maputo as well as tourist destinations such as Victoria Falls, Zanzibar and Seychelles.
‘The massive flux in the industry has been devastating, but with change often comes opportunity, and we’ve been working to take advantage of opportunities where they’ve presented themselves,’ said Kirby Gordon, FlySafair’s chief marketing officer.
FlySafair has already made plans to bring in two more additional aircraft in July, and another three are due to fly in before the end of the year.
‘The market has lost about 9,000 seats a week,’ Gordon said, adding that the new planes will ‘will help to plug this gap’.
