The Hussar Grill Franschhoek has been ranked as one of the world’s best restaurants for a date night. The steak house occupies the 25th spot on the list of Best Date Night Restaurants in the World for 2024.
As reported by IOL, the ranking is as per TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards Best of the Best.

The awards seek to celebrate the highest level of excellence in travel. The Best of the Best title is awarded to those who receive above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the TripAdvisor community over a 12 month period.
On the list of 25 restaurants from around the world, Saigon Restaurant & Lounge (11th) in Cairo, Egypt and The Hussar Grill Franschhoek (25th) are the only restaurants on the African continent which made the list.

As of recently, The Hussar Grill Franschhoek is not the only establishment in South Africa that has received recognition for its excellence.
Amongst other restaurants, Epice in Franschhoek was crowned Africa’s Best Restaurant 2024 at the 5th World Culinary Awards.
The restaurant is renowned for its modern take on fine dining with a focus on spice-driven dishes.
Siba The Restaurant @ The Table Bay Hotel, Cape Town also scooped the title of Africa’s Best Fine Dining Hotel Restaurant in 2024 at the same awards. The restaurant is known for its sophisticated atmosphere and innovative dishes. It offers a unique blend of South African and international flavours.
