South Africa has been shaken up over the last week and while Cape Town was struck by the tremors first, Gauteng wasn’t going to be left out.
The West Rand recorded an Earth tremor at 12:47pm on Thursday October, 1. It was reported as a 2.7 magnitude tremor but this is still to be officially confirmed.

A tremor in Gauteng is not that uncommon, as a few rumbled through the province over the years.
Some in the area have taken to social media to tell their harrowing stories while others are shocked that a tremor was reported at all.
