Alice Walker once said, ‘In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect.’ A giraffe in the Kruger National Park has warmed the hearts of safari-goers with its distorted facial features.
South African photographer Marius Niemann captured these images of the rather special Giraffe near Shingwedzi Camp recently. The majestic animal has quite an unusual facial condition believed to be Wry Face, which caused the animal to have a protruding lower jaw and twisted nose.
The condition doesn’t seem to have had an adverse effect on the giraffe’s eating habits and it appears to be as healthy as can be.
