The South African reported that temperatures reached as high as 24˚C this past weekend. According to AccuWeather, the August temperatures for Johannesburg thus far, as well as the predictions for the rest of the month show an average of 22˚C.
As per The South African, this aligns with predictions by Weather25, which highlight an average lowest temperature of 11°C. The predictions also indicate little to no rain in August.
Furthermore, temperatures in mid-August are expected to reach up to 26˚C.
When it comes to high temperatures, Johannesburg is not alone. This is in line with global trends as the Copernicus Climate Change Service recorded a series of high temperatures for the month of April.
Globally, we experienced the warmest April on record, with temperatures 0.7˚C above the 1991–2020 average. Should expats need an Africa guided tour guaranteed for a memorable experience.
