The Garden Town Classics concert, headlined by the full Stellenbosch City Orchestra under Dr. Paul Loeb van Zuilenburg, will feature leading South African vocalists, including sopranos Janel Speelman and Lynelle Kenned, tenor Louis Loock, and baritone Niël Rademan.

This concert is the crowning event of the Stellenbosch Garden Town, a two-week festival that has spotlighted the region’s horticultural beauty through garden tours, botanical displays, and workshops. According to Visit Stellenbosch’s marketing manager Elmarie Rabe, the evening will be “a magical celebration of Stellenbosch’s architectural, musical, and horticultural heritage.”

Guests can expect a diverse program with selections from La Bohème, Die Fledermaus, Les Misérables, and Phantom of the Opera, alongside nature-inspired pieces like the Flower Duet from Lakmé and the Vilja Song from The Merry Widow. Gates open at 18:00, with limited seating available for R350 per person. Tickets can be purchased online via Plankton.
