The festive season is nearly here and the Grapevine Vintage Railroad in Texas, USA is offering a Christmas Wine Train experience between December 3 and 17.
A trip on board a Victorian-era inspired carriage, with a glass of wine in hand, seems like the perfect way to end off 2020.
‘These adults-only excursions offer an escape from the hustle-and-bustle of the season inside the beautifully decorated coaches of the Grapevine Vintage Railroad,’ the company says.
Texas is prime wine making country as the dry and sunny climate allows for subtropical conditions. Popular Texan wines include Burklee Hill Vineyards, Lost Draw Cellars, Brennan Vineyards and Duchman Family Winery.
Your train ticket includes assorted hors d’oeuvres, two complimentary glasses of fine Texas wine served in a souvenir glass and onboard entertainment including a DJ and Santa Claus.
Additional wine will be available for purchase. The trips last approximately two hours. Tickets are $45 (R710) per person.
