Known as one of the top sports events around the world, the cities that will welcome participants and fans to their locations for an epic spectacle have been announced. The Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 will take place in seven different locations in Australia from 1 October to 13 November 2027.

There will be a number of matches at each given destination, and it will be the 11th edition of this coveted affair. The 2027 Rugby World Cub will also be the first occurrence of 27 teams featuring in the event. Brett Robinson, the World Rugby Chair, has made a statement regarding the choice of the host country and the allocated cities where the pool matches will take place:
“We are delighted to reach another significant milestone on our journey to Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027. The selection of these incredible host cities reflects our commitment to bring the Rugby World Cup to as many Australians as possible and maximise the tournament’s positive impact and sporting legacy in all host communities… We look forward to working with host cities to make this tournament one for the ages.”
Travel News has reported the cities in Australia that will have the privilege of hosting these pool matches, with each varying the number of matches that will take place in each location:
- Sydney (where the final will take place at Sydney’s Accor Stadium)
- Perth
- Melbourne
- Brisbane
- Newcastle
- Adelaide
- Townsville
