As dawn broke on Tuesday 12 May, hyenas were found feasting on a fresh impala ram kill on Skukuza Golf course. The pack enjoyed their spoils as the sun rose in the distance.
In a video, shared by SANParks to Twitter, you can hear alarm calls of baboons in the distance. One hyena comes up for air to tell another pack member off.
In total, there are about four adults and three sub-adults, with another individual lurking in the nearby background. Take a look at the video below (Warning graphic content):
