National Geographic has some interesting programming scheduled for this holiday season, chief among them is India from Above, which premieres on DStv channel 181 on Wednesday, December 9, at 7pm.

India From Above showcases the beauty of India’s many natural wonders, fascinating people, and diverse cultures, from soaring heights.
Spectacular drone-footage will allow viewers to experience the largest religious gathering in the world; a mega solar power plant; one of the world’s highest ultra-marathons; a floating civilization; a meteor crater lake and a 40-million-year-old monsoon, from the comfort of their couch.
The first episode of the series, named ‘Modern and Mystic’, will see National Geographic present a bird’s-eye view of the world’s largest religious gathering, provide a unique look at the festival of colours, explore long-held traditional techniques of building wooden ships, and show what the world’s biggest election is like.
