Wild animals have been making headlines recently, with two unusual sightings reported of a pride of 11 lions visiting the Skukuza Golf Course in Kruger National Park.
According to Jean Rossouw, the course’s greenkeeper, the lions are regular visitors and have been coming to enjoy the course all throughout the week.
Among the pride were some cubs as well, playfully running around on the course. Some hyenas also joined the feline visitors.
In the meantime, Letaba Herald reported about a separate incident of an elephant passing through Foskor Mine in Phalaborwa recently.
Inus Verhoef who took a video of the elephant, said no one was hurt, and vehicles parked outside were also untouched. According to Verhoef, elephants and other wildlife pass through the mine regularly but will not harm anyone.
