The introduction of the eVisa aims to simplify and streamline the visa application process for tourists wishing to visit Japan, reports Travel News.
The Japan eVisa system allows travellers to apply for a single-entry short-term stay visa online, permitting stays of up to 90 days for tourism purposes.
The eVisa is accessible to nationals of Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
To be eligible, applicants must hold an ordinary passport and travel to Japan.
The entire process, from application to receipt, can be completed online through an eVisa website.
By simplifying the visa application process and allowing online submissions, Japan hopes to attract more visitors and enhance the travel experience for guests visiting the country.
