Kruger Gate Hotel (previously Protea Hotel Kruger Gate) is charting a new course and from 1 September will no longer be part of Protea Hotels by Marriott International. Going forward, the hotel will fall under Platinum Hospitality Holdings, and will be known as Kruger Gate Hotel.

Anton Gillis will be the CEO of the hotel operation. He says that all reservations, current and future, remain unchanged.
‘Over the years the hotel has built up a wonderful community of frequent travellers who all share a common passion for the Kruger Park. We have exciting plans for the hotel and look forward to enhancing our guests’ experience,’ says Gillis
‘It has been a privilege to manage the Protea Hotel by Marriott Kruger Gate for the past 20 years,’ says Richard Collins, Marriott’s area vice-president for sub-Saharan Africa, ‘and we wish the owners the very best in their future operation of this well-loved property. We will work with Platinum Hospitality Holdings to ensure a smooth transition for guests, employees and suppliers of the property.’
The four-star hotel will continue to offer the luxurious accommodation for which it has become known.
