As covered by The South African, the new recruits will boost the current team of ranger corps. This decision is to be viewed as a necessary measure to support Law Enforcement and Biodiversity Conservation efforts in the Park.

The field rangers will be giving invaluable support to the men and women working on the ground. They will be responsible for the protection of the precious land, its inhabitants and its future.

The Park is divided into 22 ranger sections, each of which are managed by a Section Ranger who is supported by a group of field rangers.

Additionally, there are Regional Rangers who are tasked with managing various ranger sections who all jointly support the parks Law Enforcement and Biodiversity Conservation objectives.

The Kruger National Park is also supported by the SAPS and the SAPS Stock Theft and Endangered Species Unit in Skukuza.
