According to SANParks, there will be increased spot checks of vehicles inside the park to root out possibilities of contraband, as well as to verify occupant identity and booking receipts.
Other technologies in use will also include vehicle number plate recognition, remote vehicle monitoring and radar surveillance.
Moreover, efforts to combat poaching have also been strengthened.
SANParks advises visitors to remain vigilant when entering the park, as well as to report any suspicious activity near entry gates or within the park.
