The Covid-19 travel ban imposed by the Republic of Mauritius on South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique and Zambia will be lifted as of Friday 7 January 2022, and commercial passenger flights from these countries to Mauritius can resume.
Travellers are requested to get in touch with airlines and tour operators to confirm the availability of flights, as well as the necessary Covid-19 protocols to follow. Full details of Covid-19 entry requirements and safety protocols are online.

The Mauritian health authorities are continuing to implement a wide-ranging COVID-19 response and are presently prioritising the rollout of booster doses for those who are already double vaccinated. The health authorities remain confident in their ability to manage the recent increase in infection rates and will continue to follow world-leading scientific advice in this regard.
