In the recent Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards by TripAdvisor, the picturesque island has been crowned as the World’s Best Honeymoon Destination for 2025.

According to TripAdvisor, the prestigious Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best title celebrates the highest level of excellence in travel.
It is awarded to those who receive a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisor community.
As reported by IOL, the awards did more than just highlight Mauritius as the ultimate honeymoon oasis. They also provided a comprehensive look at other top experiences worldwide.

This accolade sees Mauritius topping the list above other famed romantic destinations including Bali and the Maldives. This further solidifies its stature within the luxury travel market.
Richard Duval, Minister of Tourism in Mauritius, has expressed significant pride in this recognition. He also shared that the accolade reflects Mauritius’s commitment to providing an unparalleled travel experience for honeymooners.
‘Our island offers more than just beautiful beaches, it’s a destination where luxury meets authenticity, creating perfect moments for couples starting their life journey together.’
Closely following Mauritius on the list is Bali in second place. The destination is favoured for being a living postcard with a variety of things to do.
The Maldives claimed the third spot. As an idyllic tropical paradise, it is renowned for its white sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters.
