South African Tourism’s flagship events, Meetings Africa and Africa’s Travel Indaba, are set to return in 2025.

Meetings Africa, scheduled for 24-26 February 2025 at Johannesburg’s Sandton Convention Centre, will focus on driving business events across the African continent. The event will open with a Business Opportunity Networking Day (BONDay), creating a valuable platform for industry players to forge connections and explore collaborations under the theme, ‘Africa’s Success Built on Quality Connections.’ The 2024 edition saw remarkable engagement with over 3 480 delegates, contributing R420 million to South Africa’s GDP.
Africa’s Travel Indaba, highlighting leisure tourism, will be held from 12-15 May 2025 at Durban’s Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre. The 2024 event hosted 9 280 delegates, yielding a R500 million GDP boost for Durban and creating over 1 000 jobs. The 2025 edition aims to further spotlight African tourism products and connect global buyers to Africa’s vibrant market.
