South Africa has ranked 40th on the list of Best Countries for 2024. This is according to a survey which included 17 000 participants from across the globe.
As reported by IOL, the list was released by US News & World Report. The countries were ranked using a set of 73 country attributes which are relevant in defining the success of a modern nation.

‘The rankings project is based on how global perceptions define countries in terms of a number of qualitative characteristics – impressions that have the potential to drive trade, travel and investment, and can directly affect national economies.The 2024 analysis covers perceptions of 89 nations,’ said US News & World Report.
On the list, South Africa occupies the 40th spot. This is out of 89 countries which are on the 2024 Best Countries rankings.
Morocco ranked 39th, making it the only other African country which is in the Top 50 alongside South Africa.
This also means that when it comes to the best countries on the African continent, Morocco takes the lead, with South Africa ranking second.
