A new personalised adventure has been launched on the Zambezi River, the fourth-longest in Africa after the Nile, Congo and Niger Rivers, as of 1 June.
Zambezi Truth, a dhow operator in Zimbabwe, is offering trips along a languid section of the river in two handcrafted dhows, namely the Zambezi Tribe and Zambezi Origin. These East-African-style vessels, made entirely from natural materials, can transport 12 guests at a time.
This ancient form of sailing will offer visitors a different way of exploring the the river.
Cost: USD120 9about R1,700) and includes canapés and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) that guests can mix themselves.
The dhow trips are a Hideaways experience and bookings can be made through Hideaways. [email protected]
