Good news for both local and international safari lovers. Air Botswana is launching a new direct flight route connecting the Kruger and Chobe.
Air Botswana has announced a new flight route between two premier safari destinations. The route will connect Botswana’s Kasane International Airport, the gateway to Chobe National Park, with Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, reports Tourism Update. (TU)

Air Botswana expands in SA and Namibia
The Kruger to Chobe route forms part of Air Botswana’s broader expansion in SA, which includes new routes between Gaborone and Durban, and between Maun and Cape Town.
Namibia will see the expansion of new Air Botswana routes, too – between Gaborone and Windhoek, and between Maun and Windhoek.
As per TU, the airline will also reinstate existing routes suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes connections between Johannesburg and Maun, Kasane.
New route between Kruger and Chobe
The airline’s new Kruger-Chobe connection will begin on November 1, with three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Safari lovers will now have the freedom of hopping between the diverse landscape of the Kruger National Park boasting an abundance of wildlife, to Chobe National Park, home to the largest elephant population in the world.
