Just when we’re thinking we’ve left the cold weather behind, Nature reveals her own plans. Snowfall blanketed high-lying areas in the Drakensberg Mountain Range in KwaZulu-Natal and some arears in the Western and Eastern Cape over the past two days. Temperatures are expected to rise before the weekend, which is good news for travellers.
In addition, Snow Report SA noted some snowfall on the Swartberg range near Oudtshoorn this morning and around Hofmeyr in the Eastern Cape. AfriSki Resort in Lesotho also received a light dusting. In the Southern Drakensberg, temperatures dropped to a low of -10C°.
