RwandAir will resume its flights to Cape Town via Harare in December.

Rwanda opened their borders for tourism on June 17 and their air space for tourist flights on August 1. Rwanda does not have a ‘red list’ and is open to all for leisure travel.

Travellers arriving in Rwanda must have a negative COVID-19 certificate issued within 120 hours prior to departure. A second PCR test will be conducted upon arrival. Results will be delivered after 24 hours during which visitors will remain in designated hotels at their own cost.

The country is eager to welcome tourists back and have various special offers as part of their tourism revival strategy. Travellers to Rwanda’s national parks are required to complete a guest registration and indemnity form in advance of their visit and submit it electronically to the park.

The country has recorded 5,155 cases of COVID-19; 4,922 recoveries and 35 deaths as of November 6.
