Amid all the struggles that our national airlines are facing these days, another new budget airline is said to launch in November. Fly Go-Air will be based in Lanseria and it’s planned to take its first flight on 26 November 2012.
Fly Go-Air will fly from Lanseria to George, Pietermaritzburg, Cape Town and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. An article on Life is Savage states that the airline will also offer direct flights between Cape Town and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, which will make Kruger regulars in Cape Town very happy.
You can already sign up for Fly Go-Air’s loyalty programme – click here if you’re interested. This entitles you to a free flight on your birthday (booked a month in advance) and a free flight for every six flights booked.
At the moment, the website is not very active, but according to a report on South Africa To, online bookings will open on 22 November this year. It’s yet unclear how much flights will cost or which aircrafts they’ll be using, but rumour has it that the Embraer 135 will be the craft of choice.
