The South African Football Association (SAFA) has reached an agreement with SAA for a 12-month partnership to be the official airline of choice for the key players of our national teams.

With the iconic Bafana Bafana and Banyana Banyana, to name a few, SAA is proud to be the airline transporting these national sports treasures to their international matches abroad.
Professor John Lamola, the interim chief executive officer of SAA, further states, “We welcome our national teams on board, and we look forward to flying them around the world on national duty to represent our nation.”
The partnership between SAA and SAFA will be implemented on 1 June 2024. This alliance will ensure a stable and consistent way for players to travel regularly to their sporting events abroad.
