South African Airways (SAA) has launched domestic fares for students, offering a 10% upfront discount on flights to all destinations within South Africa.

According to Travel News, this offer is applicable to all students at both school and university. Whether heading back to university, visiting family or simply exploring, students can enjoy a discounted rate.
Additionally, students will receive a free baggage allowance. This means that they can bring two pieces of checked luggage at no additional cost.
The airline shall also be allowing students to change the date of their flight for a minimal fee of R230. This is to accommodate extended stays or changed plans.
Speaking to Travel News, SAA GM Sales, Marketing, Distribution and E-Commerce, Carla da Silva, expressed that the fares are designed to make travel more affordable for students. They are also aimed at supporting their education-related and leisure journeys in South Africa.
“These discounted fares encourage students to explore new places and cultures, enriching their academic experience and personal growth,”
Da Silva further added that special rates and benefits for students are helpful in building a loyal customer base who will hopefully continue to choose SAA.
