South African Airways (SAA) will up the frequency of its flights from Johannesburg to Perth, Australia.
As reported by TravelNews, this will take place from the 8th of December. There shall now be four flights per week.
A further increase is also expected from the 7th of January 2025, bumping the frequency up to five flights per week.

The new flight schedule will be as follows:
On Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, flights will depart from Johannesburg at 20:35 to land in Perth at 12:10 the following day. An additional flight will depart Johannesburg on Mondays from January 2025.
On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, flights will depart from Perth at 23:55 to Johannesburg at 05:10 the following day. An additional flight will depart Perth on Tuesdays from January 2025.
Although the aforementioned changes are just in time for the holiday season, these increases are not seasonal but on a year-round basis.
The airline stated that the increases will serve to address the sustained demand for travel to Australia.
