Protests on the R536 yesterday 10 July prevented visitors from entering or leaving the Kruger National Park via the Paul Kruger Gate in the south section of the park.
SANParks has advised that visitors use nearby gates such as Phabeni and Numbi to access the park until further notice.
The protestors are not employees of the park and SANParks does not know what the protests are about, SANParks spokesperson Isaac Phaahla told News24.
The protests began early yesterday at Cork Trust on the R536 road leading to Kruger Gate. Kruger Gate has not been officially closed, but the advisory is to inform tourists and give them an alternative point of entry to the park for their own safety.
