South African National Parks (SANParks) is calling for nominations for the 17th annual Kudu Awards.
The awards are in partnership with TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa and First National Bank. They aim to recognise and honour conservation champions and external stakeholders who contribute to making SANParks a prominent ‘custodian of choice for the national parks system in South Africa.’
The Kudu Awards also intend to foster sustainable and equitable relationships with external communities interested in the country’s national parks.
SANParks General Manager, Media, PR & Stakeholder Relations Rey Thakhuli says, ‘The Kudu Awards are open to all people from various backgrounds with a passion and love for conservation and wildlife.
‘The SANParks vision, ‘a world-class system of sustainable national parks reconnecting and inspiring society,’ encourages all of South Africa to celebrate the achievements of those around them and to pay tribute to those who work effortlessly to put our parks at the forefront of conservation.’
Award winners will not only receive recognition but also a financial reward. SANParks encourages the public to make their nomination before 22 September.
