Spring might be drawing near but there is still snow expected for some parts of South Africa in the coming days. From Sunday, 14 August snowfall is expected in Lesotho and the central Eastern Cape.
Sutherland in the Northern Cape, as well as mountainous areas of the Western Cape, are also likely to see snow, according to Snow News.
There is also a “possibility” of snow in the Southern Drakensberg (Underberg and Bulwer areas). ‘This is an advanced forecast so is of course subject to change, however weather models have been fairly consistent for several days now,’ reports Snow News.
