Over the next few days South Africa will see some snow… and possibly veld fires. The South African Weather Service has issued a range of warnings for many parts of the country, except for Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Kwa-Zulu Natal. Some could effect your travel:

Snowfall
The north-eastern Drakensberg region of the Eastern Cape saw light snow last night. Tiffindell Ski Resort was lucky enough to wake up this morning to the first snowfall of the 2019 ski season.
Travis Morrison, the resort’s marketing manager, told Getaway that guests who arrived yesterday afternoon were delighted to see snow for about an hour on their first night there.

This morning the snow was a centimetre or two thick. He estimates that the snow will hang around for 10 days to two weeks, depending on temperatures.
Snow-Forecast, an international snow reporter, predicts that it will snow all day on Monday with snowfall eventually amounting to 7 cm.
Cold fronts
The western parts of South Africa will be hit by a stronger and more extensive cold front tomorrow.
Flooding
The Cape Winelands, Cape Metropole and Overberg are predicted to experience localised flooding on Thursday night going into Friday morning.
High seas
The coastline between Table Bay and Plettenberg can expect to see wave heights between 6-8 m tomorrow.
Damaging winds
Gale force north-westerly winds of over 65km/h have been predicted to sweep across from Yzerfontein to Cape Agulhas this afternoon and evening. A strong north-westerly wind of over 55km/h is expected over the Central Karoo and the Breede Valley today.
Veld fire conditions
Large portions of the Northern Cape, Eastern Cape, Western Cape, North-West and the Free State have been warned that conditions are ripe for veld fires.
