This reopening follows the recent launch of the extensively upgraded Platinum and Premium lounges at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. The lounge features professionally brewed coffee from La Marzocco espresso machines, a selection of South African wines, and a variety of meals.

‘Our beautifully renovated lounges provide an opportunity for our premium travellers to enjoy SAA’s award-winning hospitality on the ground, as well as in the skies,’ said SAA Interim CCO, Tebogo Tsimane. “With South Africans increasingly returning to the skies, many are seeking more comfortable airport experiences.’

Guests can also enjoy dedicated working spaces and complimentary high-speed WiFi. The lounge operates Monday to Friday from 05h30 to 19h00, Saturday from 05h30 to 18h15, and Sunday from 07h30 to 20h00. Access is exclusively available to certain members.

Earlier this year, SAA made its seasonal route to Gqeberha a permanent service, according to Travel News.
