Star Wars fans rejoice, Disney has finally released the first images for the ‘Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser‘, its much anticipated Star Wars hotel. The Star Wars-themed rooms are scheduled to open next year in Walt Disney World Resort, Florida.
‘Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is a completely new type of experience. You’re going to live onboard a star cruiser… and you can get wrapped up in the larger Star Wars story,’ said Ann Morrow Johnson, executive producer for Walt Disney, according to Lonely Planet.
Upon checking in to the new hotel, guests will immediately be immersed in a two day and two night Star Wars experience. The design of the hotel was inspired by the iconic Corellian MPO-1400 Star Cruiser, or Halycon as it’s more commonly known. All the cabins are fully themed, with staff or ‘crew members’ dressed in character.
Each room will feature a window displaying a view of deep space, and a queen-sized bed along with two bunk beds built into the wall which guests can make use of after a long day of adventuring.
As part of the 2 day experience, guests will be able to take part in the ‘Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge’ activities. This includes the opportunity to operate the Halycon’s navigation and defense systems, learn about the art of wielding a lightsaber, and embark on excursions to the Black Spire outpost located on planet Batuu.
