The company ensured flight assistance workers trained in British Sign Language (BSL) were on the players’ flights. In addition to these inclusivity efforts, Virgin Atlantic is also set to celebrate International Week of the Deaf spectacularly in mid-September.

Video content has been released showcasing the strenuous efforts, achievements and dedication of the EDRU’s journey. The chairperson of this union, Gloria Mills, has stated what she hopes readers will learn from their adventures with Virgin Atlantic:

“…We hope that our partnership with Virgin Atlantic will also help to raise awareness and recognition of deaf rugby and inspire more deaf and hard of hearing people to get involved in the sport and experience the incredible travel opportunities that can come with it.”
