On Tuesday, 11 June the Piton de la Fournaise volcano on the island of Réunion erupted. This is the second volcanic eruption on the island this year.
According to Volcano Discovery, the lava fountains measured approximately 30m high. Four eruptive fissures were recorded on the slopes of the Dolomieu crater.
