The iconic Table Bay Hotel is gearing up for an exciting chapter. Having established itself as a landmark in Cape Town’s hospitality scene, it will officially close its doors in February to commence a R1 billion refurbishment.
As reported by African Travel & Tourism Association, the transformation is expected to refresh the property. Moreover, it will introduce the InterContinental Table Bay Cape Town as a form of rebranding which signals a new era of accommodation at the V&A Waterfront.

The refurbishment seeks to elevate every aspect of the guest experience, while also preserving the iconic property’s heritage.
Upgrades will include an additional 45 guest suites, a world-class spa, revamped dining spaces, as well as a new elevated pool bar and terrace with panoramic views.
While the temporary closure may be an adjustment, the revamp is an investment aimed at ensuring that Table Bay Hotel remains at the forefront of luxury hospitality for years to come.
