Chef Braam Beyers of Chefs Warehouse at Tintswalo Atlantic recently voted one of the best new restaurants in the world by Condé Nast Traveller, will be hosting the interactive cooking and dining experience on 13 and 14 August 2021. Guests will enjoy delicious dinners with wine pairings and Tintswalo’s legendary breakfasts, dished up and presented at Tintswalo at Boulders in Simon’s Town.
The weekend will be all about food and wine, including hands-on activities such as learning the intricacies of sushi-making while enjoying sundowner canapés on Friday evening. Saturday will bring an interesting fish preparation demo by Abalobi followed by a light lunch and onto wine tasting by Tintswalo’s talented Sommelier Jabu Ngwenya. On Saturday afternoon the focus will turn to a masterclass and personal interaction with chef Braam. He is known for creating big flavours on small plates, providing the opportunity to foodies and home cooks alike to learn some tricks of the trade. Braam will use the masterclass to prepare for that evening’s dinner service, which guests will enjoy, later on, paired with the superb wines of Idiom.
Weekend packages are available from R5500 per person sharing and include 2 nights’ luxury accommodation with all meals, wine pairing with dinners; food demos, and wine-tasting. Optional extras include relaxing massages or adventurous water activities with Shark Warrior Adventures, such as snorkeling and kayaking. Superlative sea and mountain views and the antics of penguins right on the doorstep are, however, complimentary. Bookings are limited to 18 guests and Covid protocols are followed.
