Desperate times call for desperate measures. Under usual circumstances, airplane food, much like hospital food, is not something most people look forward to.
It seems some die-hard travellers are so eager to get that travel feeling, that they are resorting to purchasing airplane food and snacks online.
Imperfect Foods, an online surplus-stock distribution company in the US, is offering JetBlue’s cheese and snack trays for sale to the public instead of letting it go to waste. They have found creative ways to redirect other unused foods too. Movie fanatics can also buy popcorn kernels previously destined for movie theaters!
These customers took to Twitter to share their satisfaction with this first class service:
Weirdest sign of the times? The fact that I ordered extra @JetBlue cheese trays through @imperfect_foods. pic.twitter.com/jR4J1rwRM9
