This initiative seeks to restore indigenous plant communities in the area, thereby enhancing species diversity and ecosystem functioning.

Trees play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life in densely populated areas. Acting as natural air purifiers, they absorb harmful pollutants and release oxygen, making a positive impact on air quality. Furthermore, trees contribute to noise reduction, creating peaceful environments amid the hustle and bustle of city life.

In the context of schools, they offer psychological benefits, as studies have shown that exposure to green spaces and trees can reduce stress and enhance overall well-being. Schools adorned with greenery provide learners with serene and conducive learning environments.

To generate excitement and avoid wasteful paper printed materials, Cotton On Group has collaborated with award-winning local artist Marc-Gregory to design iconic T-shirts for store staff. These eye-catching shirts, featuring an art piece that subtly incorporates the presence of Madiba within the leaves of a tree, represent the vibrant colours of the South African flag.
